1. Why is it a good idea to have StainShield® applied after the cleaning?
When your carpets and furniture are new they already have a protective coating, which helps to keep soil from permanently attaching to your material. This protective coating also help when you are having your cleaning done by allowing the soil to come out. After we clean you carpets or furniture, it is a good idea to have Stain Shield applied to insure that you have the same protection to help keep your things looking better a lot longer. TOP OF PAGE

2. How often should I have my carpets or furniture cleaned?
On an average you should have your carpets or furniture cleaned every year to a year and a half. Each home has different conditions, that's a better indicator as to when you need work done. When your carpets look soiled to you and your vacuum isn’t helping any more I would say it is time to get them professionally cleaned. By leaving the cleaning too long you risk damaging the material. The sand and dirt sitting in your carpets acts like sandpaper and cuts the fibres whenever you walk on top of it. If you see any damage, clean as soon as possible. TOP OF PAGE

3. How should I prepare for a cleaning?
Our service includes the moving of most furniture, but some items are in permanent locations and too awkward to move, like beds, hutches, piano's etc. We ask you to remove your small breakable items from the area's that are being cleaned, so that we can move as much as needed for you. It is also helpful if the carpets are vacuumed prior to the cleaning but that is not a requirement. 4. How long does it take to dry ?
We use the Dry Foam Shampoo cleaning method which means we start off with a lot less water than steam cleaning would. Carpets as well as upholstery are made from many different fibers and have different drying times. If your carpet is heavily soiled, it is likely that we will want to go over it a bit extra to get it clean as possible, and the same goes for furniture. Of course we extract as much moisture as possible but this would still increase the drying time a little. The average drying time is between 4 and 12 hours. TOP OF PAGE

7. Why are area rugs priced differently?
Area rugs are usually a lot more expensive to purchase than traditional wall to wall type carpeting. Area rugs are made from many different types of material and much more delicate to work on. They also have different fibres on the backing which has to be considered. Some of the carpet may have to be scrubbed by hand, such as the fringes and delicate areas. We clean your area rugs in the comfort of your home, and at a better price than most of our competitors.

Our office opens at 8 am to receive your calls from 8 am until 9 pm from Monday through Sat. We are open for carpet cleaning appointments from 8 am and will call you the morning of your appointment at approximately 7:30 am to let you know when you may expect us to arrive. The cleaning time depends on the amount of work you need done, and the condition of your carpets or furniture. TOP OF PAGE

11. How safe is dry foam for children and pets ?
We have been cleaning carpeting and upholstery since 1986 and have experienced no problems from any of the chemicals that we use. Because we use the Dry Foam Shampoo method, which involves scrubbing and not just spray and rinse, the chemicals we use don't have to be as harsh. Our basic cleaning solution is very similar to laundry detergent. As a general rule, keep your children and pets from lying or playing on wet carpet. Considering we have cleaned over 100,000 carpets we can safely say that Dry Foam Shampoo is extremely safe for children and pets.

12. Do you move the furniture ?
Our service includes the moving of most furniture, but some items are in permanent locations and too awkward to move, such as beds, hutches, piano's etc. We ask you to remove your small breakable items from the area's that are being cleaned, so that we can move as much as needed for you. 13. What do I do once the cleaning is complete ?
Once your cleaning is complete please use caution while walking from the damp carpet to a smooth surface floor as it may be slippery. When your carpet is totally dry, you may remove the white plastic squares that we have placed under you furniture legs for protection.
